PelotonTales is changing

I have to admit, I never really realized before so clearly that a year for me lasts from Tour de France to Tour de France. It’s  still the biggest attraction of the year in the world of road cycling races, therefore it’s the biggest thing also on my road cycling related online projects.

As soon as the Tour de France ends I immediately start thinking about what should I do differently, next year.

So I decided to break the current structure of PelotonTales blog and create several new subprojects. There are, of course, the already existing ones, like the Cycling Revolution about the inluence of bicycle beyond the world of professional road cycling competitions around the turn of the 19th and 20th century and the History of Sport And Other Leisure Activities, where I try to find and re-tell more interesting stories further back from the past, not just from the 20th (and late 19th) century, what PelotonTales does, for obvious reasons.

First,

I intend to divide past and present,

which sounds funny even from my mouth. Or I should say, especially from my mouth, because it sounds pretty much the contrary I used to do in my other activities, especially in those are related to historical fiction.

Anyway, I decided to create a project called Vintage Cycling Stories and transport all the popular road cycling stories from the original main blog.

Also, there are the special sites for the grand tours, like

Tour de France 2024

Vuelta a Espana 2024

Tour de France 2025

Because there is no such thing as too early when it comes to prepare for the next Tour de France.

Also, there is still my Patreon page providing a more complex approach to the cultural historical importance of professional road cycling events.

Nevertheless, you don’t need to tell me, I’m aware of it myself  that it’s about my eternal struggle again  between presenting everythig I do in its complexity, demonstrating how everything is connected to everything in my head, either about road cycling or about literature, etc, and trying to make thing clearly, easily separable and putting in different boxes.
